Your data stays yours

Last updated: 2026

The short version: Episaw collects nothing. Everything lives on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no ads. The app only talks to your own server — and, if you choose, to public show databases for artwork and air dates.

Overview

Episaw is a personal watch-history tracker for your Emby and Jellyfin media servers. It is designed so that your data stays yours.

What we collect

Nothing. Episaw does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party data brokers.

Where your data lives

All of your data — your watch history, shows, lists, settings, and server connection details — is stored locally on your device only. It never leaves your phone except to communicate directly with:

Your server credentials

Your server address, username, and access token are stored locally on your device and are used only to connect to your own media server. They are never sent anywhere else.

Third-party services

If you choose to enable metadata features, Episaw contacts:

These requests contain only the show identifiers needed to look up public information. Review their privacy policies for details on how they handle requests.

License & purchases

If you buy Episaw Pro, payment is processed by a third-party payment provider. Episaw itself does not see or store your payment card details. A license key may be stored locally to unlock Pro features.

Data deletion

Because everything is stored locally, uninstalling the app removes all of your data. You can also clear data anytime from your device settings.

Children

Episaw is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.

Changes

This policy may be updated. The latest version will always be available in the app and on this page.
