Short, practical walkthroughs for the things people ask about most.
Episaw works with your own Emby or Jellyfin server. You'll need its address and your login.
Open Episaw and go to Settings.
Under Server, enter your server address — for example http://192.168.1.10:8096 or your remote URL.
Enter your username and password for that server.
Tap Save. Episaw connects and shows a green Connected status.
Syncing pulls your watched episodes and shows from the server into Episaw.
On the Home screen, tap Sync.
Wait for it to finish — you'll see progress as it fetches your history.
Your recently watched shows and missing-episode counts appear automatically.
Rebuilt your server or lost its database? Send your locally-tracked watch history back so Emby knows what you've seen.
Go to Settings → Backup & Restore.
Tap Preview (no changes) first to see exactly what would be marked as watched. Nothing is changed yet.
When you're happy, tap Push to Emby. Episaw marks those episodes watched on the server.
Keep a copy of your Episaw data, or move it to another device.
Go to Settings → Export / Import.
Tap Export to save a file with your history, lists, and settings. Store it wherever you like — your own cloud, your computer, anywhere.
On another device (or after reinstalling), tap Import and pick that file to restore everything.
The calendar shows episodes airing soon for the shows you follow. It uses a free TMDB key.
Create a free account at themoviedb.org, then go to Settings → API there and copy your key.
In Episaw, go to Settings → TMDB, paste the key, and save.
Open the Calendar tab. Choose 14, 30, or 60 days ahead. Tap any episode for its synopsis.
Organise shows into colour-coded lists that match how you actually watch.
Open the My Lists tab. You start with Favourites, Rewatch with Kids, Rewatch Solo, Recommend to Others, and To Watch Later.
Tap + New List to make your own, with its own colour.
From any show, tap the + to add it to a list.
